We are seeking a dynamic and results-driven Sr. Manager, Licensing & Business Development to spearhead our licensing and collaboration efforts, ensuring alignment with the company's overarching business and marketing goals. This role requires a strategic visionary with strong negotiation skills, a deep understanding of market trends, and the ability to drive successful partnerships. You will play a pivotal role in shaping and executing the company’s long-term licensing strategies and collaborating closely with cross-functional teams to deliver successful collections. In addition, you will partner closely with executive leadership team to expand specialty retail channels and brand growth. 

Responsibilities:
  • Lead the licensing & collaboration strategy, ensuring alignment with overall business and marketing goals mapping out 2-5 year pipeline 
  • Develop and execute long-term licensing strategies that align with the company's vision and market trends. Conduct regular market analyses to identify emerging opportunities and potential risks 
  • Lead negotiations with potential licensing partners, ensuring favorable terms for the company and draft and review licensing contracts to ensure compliance with legal and business standards 
  • Work closely with legal and finance teams to ensure proper risk management and financial structure for licensing deals.
  • Determine SKU mix, pricing, and overall size opportunity for all collections 
  • Work closely with product development on artwork, shade selection and names and ensure approvals are tracking to hit key dates 
  • Collaborate with partners to ensure alignment with brand vision and product quality.
  • Partner with account managers to sell in collaborations to retail channels 
  • Partner with marketing channel owners to build out GTM strategy and ensure all marketing follows partner guidelines 
  • Manage day-to-day communications with partners to resolve issues, manage timelines, and ensure compliance
  • Monitor the financial performance of licensing deals and partnerships, including sales performance and royalty revenue 
  • Manage all E&O inventory and provide product lifestyle recommendations 
  • Manage Off-Price channels negotiations and relationships for product liquidation 
  • Explore and evaluate additional channels of growth such as internal and retail expansion 
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, or related field preferred
  • 5-7 years of experience in licensing, partnerships, or business development, with a proven track record in managing cross-functional teams and executing successful licensing strategies; Health and Beauty experience preferred 
  • Strong negotiation skills and experience drafting and reviewing contracts.
  • Deep understanding of market trends, emerging opportunities, and risks.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to manage relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Experience working with legal, finance, product development and marketing teams 
  • Analytical mindset with the ability to monitor and report on financial performance.
  • Strong problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
  • This is a hybrid role based in Sherman Oaks, CA.
